Our Story
Future Frontline is a community interest company founded in August 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the aims of inspiring and supporting tomorrow’s healthcare workers.
The Problems:
There are over 1330,000 staff vacancies in NHS trusts in England.
Applications to healthcare degrees are declining, including an 11% decrease in the number of students starting nursing courses from 2021 to 2022.
Our Goals were identified by our team’s experience of working as healthcare professionals and healthcare students on placements.
Raise awareness of the multitude of healthcare careers young people can pursue.
Widen participation in healthcare degrees, apprenticeships and careers.
Support healthcare students and apprentices throughout their time at university with leadership skills to diversify tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.
Support healthcare students and apprentices make the transition to healthcare professional to increase retention rates within the sector.
From day one our priority has been to make sure that all our support and information is available to everyone free of charge as we believe that socioeconomic status should never act as a barrier to pursuing a career within healthcare.
Since our launch, we have grown to be a team of over 40 healthcare students and professionals across the UK who represent over 13 different professions. We have grown a community of over 13,000 followers across social media. Future Frontline now provides support to thousands of aspiring and current healthcare students and apprentices.
