CEO's and COO

  • Dr Natasha Binnie MBBS BSc (Hons) AFHEA - Co-Founder & CEO

    Natasha (she/her) is a multi award-winning Doctor who graduated from King's College London in 2023. She is a First Class graduate in Primary Care with a keen interest in a career in Psychiatry and General Practice. Natasha was awarded both the Rising Star Award and the Diana Award, in 2023.

    Natasha has been featured in the Times for her social media platform @TashBinnie, where she shares content about the life of a medical student and her lived experiences of mental illness to an audience of over 50,000.

  • Nikki Kerdegari BSc (Hons) - Co-Founder & CEO

    Nikki (she/her) is an award-winning final year medical student at King’ College London. She is a First Class graduate in Anatomy, Developmental & Human Biology and has interests in Surgery, Paediatrics and Medical Education. She currently holds the position of President of the Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical Students’ Association as well as the President of KCL Paediatric Society and Mentorship Lead for KCL Surgical Society.

  • Leah Brooks - Chief Operating Officer

    Leah (she/her) is a multi-award winning final year Medical Student at the University of Sheffield. She has interests in General Practice, Psychiatry, and Widening Participation into Healthcare Degrees. Leah uses her social media platform @wellnessmedic to discuss her lived mental health experience and her journey as a Widening Participation medical student to inspire others, and has spoken at multiple events and platforms on these topics.

    In 2024 she was awarded the Rising Star in Healthcare Award.

  • Ella Venn Bsc (Hons)- Next Gen Programme Lead

    Ella is an Adult Nurse having graduated in 2024. In 2021, Ella graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class degree in Philosophy and Politics (BSc). During this time, she held a choral scholarship at Bristol Cathedral and was awarded best-in-year 2019/2020. She studied the philosophy and ethics of medicine and conducted research into the environmental sustainability of the NHS. Ella was shortlisted out of thousands for the Royal Academy of Nursing’s Nursing Student of the Year Award 2023.

  • Dr Maisy Hurley-Sherwood - Next Gen Programme Deputy

    Dr Maisy Hurley-Sherwood - Next Gen Programme Deputy

    Maisy is a resident doctor and deputy of the Next Gen Programme, having joined the programme as an officer in 2023. Maisy is passionate about widening participation and supporting the next generation of healthcare students by providing opportunities and resources. She has hosted several events we have organised in partnership with universities and trusts.

  • Shirin Yazdian - Next Gen University Liason

    Shirin (she/her) is an award-winning neurodivergent advocate and public speaker. She is currently pursuing a master's in Psychology and Neuroscience of the Mind-Body Interface at King’s College London. Shirin is passionate about advocating for accessible and inclusive healthcare and education for all.

  • Abbie Kumar - Next Gen Schools Liason

    Abbie is a first-year Medical Student at King’s College London. She joined Future Frontline as she is passionate to help widen participation into healthcare careers.

  • DJ Hanson Bsc (Hons) - Safeguarding and Welfare Director

    DJ is a Qualified Youth Worker by background and has spent the last decade working with young people in a range of formal and informal settings. He is currently a Designated Safeguarding Officer at a national youth work charity running residentials, overseas trips and after-school clubs across England, Scotland and Wales. At university DJ was an active member of his Nightline society, helping to support student mental health and ensuring out-of-hours emotional support was available for all students.

  • Caitlin Saunders - Next Gen Officer

    Caitlin is a second year medical student studying at the University of Exeter in Cornwall. She is excited to introduce students to the vast range of careers in healthcare and share her passions of medicine and working for others. She hopes to inspire young people of all backgrounds to consider a healthcare career and empower students who want to enter such challenging yet rewarding professions.

  • Nicky Ahadi - Next Gen Officer

    Nicky is a 4th-year medical student at the University of Exeter. She is passionate about medical education and providing opportunities for everyone to explore healthcare careers. During her gap year, she worked at a secondary school to help students catch up on studies affected by the pandemic. Outside of medicine, she enjoys yoga, listening to music, and trying new restaurants!

  • Tinashe Gumunya - Next Gen Officer

    Tinashe Gumunyu is final-year medical student passionate about empowering patients through health education and technology. He has a strong interest in emergency medicine and anaesthesia.

  • Josie Head - Next Gen Officer

    Josie (she/her) is a second year medical student at the University of Lincoln. She’s a keen runner and is passionate about the positive impact that exercise can have on physical and mental health. In the future she hopes to be involved in General Practice, with interests in preventative medicine and patient empowerment.

Students and Apprentices Team

  • Mille Snook BSc (Hons) - Student and Apprentices Co-Director

    Millie is a Medical Student and graduate in Surgical Sciences at University College London. Millie is enthusiastic about Surgery, and is a committee member of UCL's Surgical Society this year. She also has a strong interest in medical education. Millie is an enthusiastic photographer and tennis player and, as part of the Medics4Medics team at UCL, she encourages balance between studies and extracurriculars, organising talks to improve the mental wellbeing of students.

  • Maariyah Bajibhai - Students and Apprentices Co-Director

    Maariyah is a medical student at the University of Leeds. She has interests in paediatrics, radiology, oncology and public health.

    Maariyah joined Future Frontline as she’s passionate about widening participation and believes there should be no barrier between disadvantaged students and the career they choose to pursue.

  • Sahar Heydariyan - Events Project Manager

    Sahar (she/her) graduated with an MBA in Project Management from the University of East London. She is responsible for leading student volunteers in organizing the National Student Healthcare Conference and other key events for Future Frontline. Through her role, she aims to support Future Frontline’s mission of widening participation in healthcare careers and raising awareness about the diverse career paths available in the sector.

  • Abbie Yates - Careers Fair Lead

    Abbie qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2023 and is now a Specialist Practitioner in Dysphagia. She currently works with patients in hospital with chronic and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Abbie is also passionate about the individual set of talents neurodivergent healthcare professionals bring to the workplace. Abbie runs her X account @journeyspeech to raise awareness of the wonderful SLT career

  • Saad Salman Bsc (Hons) - Students and Apprentices Officer

    Saad is a Podiatrist and graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University. Whilst at university he was Vice-Chair of the Student Network at the Royal College of Podiatry.

  • Simon Evans - Students and Apprentices Officer

    Simon is a final year Pharmacy student at Cardiff University, who displays a strong passion for the healthcare and pharmaceuticals field. His academic journey has been marked by extensive involvement across all three sectors of pharmacy, including community, hospital, and General Practice settings. Noteworthy is Simon's profound engagement in research, particularly focused on immunology and cancer. As a testament to his exceptional dedication, Simon has been nominated for the Welsh Pharmacy Student Leadership Award, further highlighting his impact and potential within the realm of pharmacy
