  • Dr Natasha Binnie MBBS BSc (Hons) AFHEA - Co-Founder & CEO

    Natasha (she/her) is a multi award-winning Doctor who graduated from King's College London in 2023. She is a First Class graduate in Primary Care with a keen interest in a career in Psychiatry and General Practice. Natasha was awarded both the Rising Star Award and the Diana Award, in 2023.

    Natasha has been featured in the Times for her social media platform @TashBinnie, where she shares content about the life of a medical student and her lived experiences of mental illness to an audience of over 50,000.

  • Nikki Kerdegari BSc (Hons) - Co-Founder & CEO

    Nikki (she/her) is an award-winning fourth year medical student at King’ College London. She is a First Class graduate in Anatomy, Developmental & Human Biology and has interests in Surgery, Paediatrics and Medical Education. She currently holds the position of President of the Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical Students’ Association as well as the President of KCL Paediatric Society and Mentorship Lead for KCL Surgical Society.

  • Leah Brooks - Chief Operating Officer

    Leah (she/her) is a final year Medical Student at the University of Sheffield. She has interests in General Practice, Psychiatry, and Widening Participation into Healthcare Degrees. Leah uses her social media platform @wellnessmedic to discusses her lived mental health experience and her journey as a Widening Participation medical student to inspire others, and has spoken at multiple events and platforms on these topics.

  • Abbie Yates BmedSci - Frontline Discovery Director

    Abbie qualified as Speech and Language Therapist in 2023 and now works in critical care and acute stroke wards in Nottingham supporting individuals with swallowing and communication difficulties. Abbie has worked with Future Frontline for 3 years. After a year as SLT director, she has perused the role of Frontline Discovery Director in order to support the lesser known professions and career options related to healthcare. Abbie has recently conducted her own research which has selected to be showcased at the annual RCSLT conference, and runs the ‘Frontline Discovery Podcast’ for Future Frontline, where she interviews many different healthcare professionals who are passionate about their roles, careers or specialties. Abbie runs her own Instagram account spill_the_slt, where she posts about the life of an acute setting SLT, and general wellness tips.

  • Pragnya Dara - Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity Lead

    Pragnya is a fourth year Medical student at University College London.

  • Maisie Sinclair - Aspiring Students Co-Director

    After 2 years of studying Adult Nursing, Maisie made the decision to switch her degree path and is now a second year Anatomical Sciences student at the University of Dundee. Maisie is passionate about showing that having a physical or mental illnesses isn’t a barrier to pursuing a healthcare career by sharing her own lived experience. She also hopes to be an advocate for those who take an unusual route to get to the career they want to do!

  • Ella Venn Bsc (Hons)- Next Gen Programme Lead and Aspiring Students Co-Director

    Ella is a current final-year Adult Nursing student. In 2021, Ella graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class degree in Philosophy and Politics (BSc). During this time, she held a choral scholarship at Bristol Cathedral and was awarded best-in-year 2019/2020. She studied the philosophy and ethics of medicine and conducted research into the environmental sustainability of the NHS. Ella has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Nursing’s Nursing Student of the Year Award.

  • Abbie Kumar - Outreach Director

    Abbie is a first-year Medical Student at King’s College London. She joined Future Frontline as she is passionate to help widen participation into healthcare careers.

  • DJ Hanson Bsc (Hons) - Safeguarding and Welfare Director

    DJ is a Qualified Youth Worker by background and has spent the last decade working with young people in a range of formal and informal settings. He is currently a Designated Safeguarding Officer at a national youth work charity running residentials, overseas trips and after-school clubs across England, Scotland and Wales. At university DJ was an active member of his Nightline society, helping to support student mental health and ensuring out-of-hours emotional support was available for all students.

  • Mille Snook BSc (Hons) - Current Students Co-Director

    Millie is a fourth year Medical Student and graduate in Surgical Sciences at University College London. Millie is enthusiastic about Surgery, and is a committee member of UCL's Surgical Society this year. She also has a strong interest in medical education. Millie is an enthusiastic photographer and tennis player and, as part of the Medics4Medics team at UCL, she encourages balance between studies and extracurriculars, organising talks to improve the mental wellbeing of students.

  • Maariyah Bajibhai - Current Students Team Co-Director

    Maariyah is a third year medical student at the University of Leeds. She has interests in paediatrics, radiology, oncology and public health.

    Maariyah joined Future Frontline as she’s passionate about widening participation and believes there should be no barrier between disadvantaged students and the career they choose to pursue.

  • Simon Evans - Current Students Team Officer

    Simon is a final year Pharmacy student at Cardiff University, who displays a strong passion for the healthcare and pharmaceuticals field. His academic journey has been marked by extensive involvement across all three sectors of pharmacy, including community, hospital, and General Practice settings. Noteworthy is Simon's profound engagement in research, particularly focused on immunology and cancer. As a testament to his exceptional dedication, Simon has been nominated for the Welsh Pharmacy Student Leadership Award, further highlighting his impact and potential within the realm of pharmacy

  • Isabelle Thomas - Current Students Team Officer

    Isabelle is a final year MSc Dietetics student at Leeds Beckett University. After completing her first degree, Biomedical Science with a Professional Training Year (BSc) at Cardiff University, she changed career paths to a more patient-facing role as a Dietitian. Having experience as a student representative and working in the Leeds Beckett Students’ Union, she is passionate about supporting the wellbeing of students.   • Hannah Fullalove Bsc (Hons) Msc - Current Students Team Officer

    Hannah (She/Her) is a final-year Physician Associate student at the University of Plymouth. Previously she has completed a BSc in Biomedical Science and MSc in Genomic Medicine. She is passionate about widening awareness of her role and the importance of a holistic approach. In her spare time, Hannah is found swimming, with her dog Otter, in the coastal seas of Cornwall where she lives.

  • Niamh Hardy - Current Students team Officer

    Niamh is a second year Mental Health nursing student at Keele university. They also work as a bank support worker at a mental health hospital alongside their degree. They have spent many years volunteering within mental health charities. They believe mental health is as important as physical health and the stigma around it need to be challenged.

  • Freya Williams - Current Students team Officer

    Freya is a final year children’s nursing student in Liverpool. She has a special interest in paediatric intensive care and she is passionate about sharing her experiences of nursing with a chronic illness in order to show others that it can be possible! When she started her training she set up an Instagram (@tinyhumannurse.frey) where she documents her experience at university, on placement, and living with a feeding tube and multiple chronic illnesses. Freya is also a student ambassador for the Royal College of Nursing.

  • Geniene Essex - Current Students Team Officer

    Geniene is a mature student who began her journey back into education aged 30 by resitting some of her GCSEs before completing an access course and being accepted into university. She is now a final year paramedic student of the University of East Anglia. She is also a single parent of two young teenage daughters and has dyslexia and autism.

  • Shir Grunebaum - Current Students Team Officer

    Shir is a second year MSc Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) course student at Oxford Brookes University. Shir completed her undergraduate honours degree in Canada, studying Kinesiology and Health Sciences, the study of human movement and health. Outside of occupational therapy, Shir has a passion for travelling, the outdoors, and creative outlets.

  • Melissa Chieza Bsc (Hons) - Current Students team Officer

    Melissa is a qualified Occupational Therapist and is currently on her second rotation in an inpatient mental health acute ward. She enjoys seeing positive patient outcomes when patients carry out meaningful occupations despite a change in their conditions which may prevent them from doing it. She believes this sets the role of the OT apart and makes it unique and different from other professions.

  • Lucy Bird - Student Ambassador

    Lucy is a fourth year Medical Student at the University of Leeds with interests in paediatrics, oncology and neurology. She started documenting her medical journey after Year 1 through her Instagram account @medic.bird. She uses this to help medical applicants as well as students in the years below her, and helping to give an honest approach towards the application process, medical school, and approaches to the future in an ever changing career.

  • Katherine Brock DipDH DipDT - Healthcare Professionals Co-Director

    Katherine graduated from the University of Sheffield with a diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in September 2021. She now works across 3 dental practices in Manchester, both NHS and private. She has a particular passion for oral health promotion for all and had her university project about oral health in young offenders prisons published in BSDHT (the leading hygiene and therapy journal), in 2022.

  • Miriam Kershaw Bsc (Hons) - Healthcare Professionals Co-Director

    Miriam graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2020 and has been working as a Registered Dietitian for a community NHS Trust ever since. Miriam works for a team that promotes the food first approach to nutritional care and provides education to care homes, GPs and other health professionals about the appropriate prescribing of nutritional products like oral nutritional supplements.

  • Dr Claudia Woo - Professionals team officer

    Claudia is a Doctor who graduated from the University of Leeds in 2023. She has interests in paediatrics, psychiatry and being an entrepreneur in the field of health and wellness. Claudia’s journey into medical school was tough and challenging, however she hopes to use her own personal experience as a testimony to encourage aspiring students to preserve and not lose hope.

  • James Snee BMedSci - Professionals team Officer

    James is a Speech and Language Therapist at Leeds Beckett University. James began training as a SALT having worked in high-end hospitality for 13 years, transferring lots of hard learned interpersonal and management skills. Passionate about multidisciplinary team-working and learning from other disciplines, James has a keen clinical interest in SALT in adult neurological conditions and neurosurgery.

  • Charmayne Low Jing Wan Bsc (Hons) - Professionals Team Officer

    Charmayne is Dietitian and graduate of King’s College London. She moved to London from Singapore in 2019 to pursue her studies in dietetics. Charmayne is interested in pursuing a specialist area in Sports Nutrition or Diabetes. As someone who is passionate about ensuring the well-being and quality of education her peers receive at university, Charmayne is the education director of the Bioscience Student’s Association at King’s College London, representing Professionally Regulated Courses in the School of Bioscience.

  • Fiona McLennan - Professionals Team Officer

    Fiona (Fi) is a Qualified Midwife in Kent. She used her social media account @qualified.midwife21 when she was a student to document her time training and has continued to do so as a qualified midwife. She has special interest in bereavement and risk within midwifery. She is keen to discuss all areas of midwifery to help others who are interested in the profession, currently training or just want to know more about the day-to-day life of a midwife.

  • Saad Salman Bsc (Hons) - Professionals Team Officer

    Saad is a Podiatrist and graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University. Whilst at university he was Vice-Chair of the Student Network at the Royal College of Podiatry.

  • Charlie Barnecutt - Marketing Director

    Charlie (she/her) is a fourth year Medical student at the University of Bristol. She is interested in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine. Charlie is passionate about the importance of improving access to healthcare careers and awareness surrounding barriers in education.

  • Scarlett Hale - Media Officer

    Scarlett (she/her) is a third year Medical Student at the University of Sheffield. She has interests in General Practice and Oncology, and due to her passion in the latter, is also the fundraising coordinator for Sheffield Marrow (helping to sign people up to the UK stem cell register.) Scarlett is a first gen medic and uses her instagram platform @Scarletthale_ to share her journey through medical school.

  • Lia Tanner - Media Officer

    Lia is a first year medical student at Leicester and joined Future Frontline to widen participation into healthcare degrees and provide free resources about the MDT

  • Dr Rebecca Moore - Wellbeing Adviser

    Dr Moore is a perinatal psychiatrist and medical cannabis prescriber. She worked in the NHS for twenty years and now works in private practice. She has an expertise in trauma, trauma informed care and birth trauma. She is the co-founder of Make Birth Better, a campaign to reduce trauma for families and professionals. Rebecca is a mum and is also training to be a yoga teacher.
