What is the Future Frontline Mentoring Programme?
A 6 month programme for final year students on healthcare degrees during which they will be paired with a qualified healthcare professional. Over the course of the 6 months, the qualified professional will act as a mentor, providing support and advice to the student regarding the transition from healthcare student to professional. The aim of the programme is to equip final year students with the knowledge and skills to apply for, and transition into their first job. The programme also aims to help the healthcare professionals network and build relationships with other members of the MDT. Right from the selection process, the mentoring scheme will mimic some workplace procedures e.g. shortlisting and contract signing.
You will be expected to:
Meet with your mentor at least 3 times over the 6 months;
Complete the mentor programme portfolio provided;
Be enthusiastic and proactive.
